So last night I was going through and downloading all of my old comics for a SECRET PROJECT, when I discovered that today is the day that number of gravytrain:TNGs equals the number of the original Gravytrains. To celebrate I am introducing this new character. He is a gas pump attendant.
I am now fully expecting my hard drive to fail and ruin this project like it did the last time.
I'm not sure that there's really a joke in today's comic. This is not an accident! Today's comic is based on a true story or, actually, on several true stories. I must warn you, these stories are pretty shocking.
Did you know? The word bunkum, which means an insincere speech meant only to please locals, comes from Buncombe County, North Carolina after their congressman gave such a speech. It's where Asheville is so I'm assuming that its lovely, but I've never been. Durham County is lovely enough for me, thanks. Also, North Carolina was one of only two states (with Rhode Island) not to ratify the constitution right away. North Carolina!
ok, so this one is arriving late in the day and it is pretty worthless. also, the site is in a state of flux, but it will hopefully be much better soon. partly to make up for these things and partly because i'm going to be under the knife tomorrow, i'm going to go ahead and post tomorrow's comic today. wow!
